100% volunteer-run
Become a volunteer
Since 1989 Vort’n Vis has been run by volunteers. The bar, the bookings, the door: all of it. Lend a hand and help keep a stage for the next generation.
Bar
Pour drinks, run the till, enjoy together with the customers
Door and security
Welcome people in, check tickets and keep the night safe for everyone.
Sound and stage
Mix the bands, or help set up and change over the stage. Want to learn? Tell us.
Bands
Welcome touring bands, help them load in, look after backstage and their beds for the night.
Bookings
Find bands, plan the nights and answer the mails.
Behind the scenes
Prepare the nights, paperwork, cleaning, laundry and dishes. DIY: we do it ourselves.
Vort’n Vis runs on DIY. As a volunteer you get a lot of freedom to do things your own way, and you take on the responsibility that comes with it, for the fun tasks and the less fun ones alike. Nobody here is free staff, and nobody plays the boss.
