History
From a 1989 grassroots start to a purpose-built hall.
Vort’n Vis opened in 1989, started by a handful of volunteers who wanted a stage for the music the bigger venues ignored.
The collective moved across town over the years and, after a long rebuild, settled into its current purpose-built home on Sint-Jacobsstraat.
Along the way the crew helped spark festivals that grew far beyond these walls, proof that a small DIY room can leave a big mark.
