Belgium is a small country in Western-Europe. It's one of the 15 countries of the European Union (EU), an economical union that also tries to be a political union with an own currency (Euro) after the year 2000 and an own parliament in Strassbourg, France. The capital of Belgium is Brussel/Bruxelles (Brussels), which also is the administrative capital of the EU (the political capital of the EU is Strassbourg in France). Belgium has a surface of 30 513 km² and a population of 10 million people.
